Dear Web Master Class of '58,
Just a note to let you know what a wonderful website you have put together for the Class of '58! Recently I met your classmate, Lynne Lyman, and have been digitally remastering some of her musical performances including your Class Song. She mentioned this website to me, and I'm very impressed with its design and content. Regards, Alan Kolsky

Hi,
My name is John Daher and I'm inquiring about a former classmate of mine and yours. We went to school together for the first three years of High School and then Jim Ryan moved to Lakewood and attended school there his senior year.
I read sadly in your "in memorium" that Jim had passed. Could someone from your class send me some information about Jim, how he died, etc., and how I may contact one of his next of kin.
I await your response.
Sincerely
John Daher

I missed the last reunion, so I am hoping one is coming up in 2008. I stumbled on this web site and even though the messages look old, it was great to read about everyone.
I am still working at Family Counseling Service, and my three sons, daughters-in law and 10 grandchildren live nearby-lucky, lucky me. I've had the opportunity to travel and have loved it. Life is good as I hope it is for all of you!

A quick update from my last post. It is now 2006 and my wife, Chris and I moved to Lakewood Ranch (on the North end of Sarasota) about 2 years ago. We built a house, sold it and just moved into a new house that we also built. We like real estate and its investment rewards so much that I became a full time realtor a year ago (see www.lakewoodranchluxury.com) My focus has been in commercial land, building and financing as well as "Resort and Second Home Property" residential. This area offers outstanding investment opportunities as the baby boomers begin their retirement years. Give me a call (number is on website), we would love to see any and all of you. Come join us in paradise - sunshine every day on the beautiful beaches and lush green surrounding areas.

I came across the picture of Ruth Hofrichter, '58 on a Google search today. I think she might have been my first grade teacher at Maple Elementary in North Olmsted, right age, right time, and the picture sure looks like her. If anyone knows her, could you please forward my message and email address? I'd love to say thanks for giving me a good head start, when I moved away to Michigan after 7th grade to a rural school district, my good start in N. O. schools gave me an edge on the competition. I went on to a B.S. in engineering at U. of M. and now live in Chicago.
Thanks!

Just discovered this website. Great idea. David, my husband, and I enjoyed the reunion last year. It was wonderful. David is still practicing law with Butzel, Long(big firm in Detroit). Our kids - Amy 38- just got her MBA from USC and has lived in Marina del Rey,CA. for several years. Steve -36- is a film producer in New York City. We recently saw Sue(Titsworth) and Denny D'Alessio while we were attending Amy's graduation in California. They are both still terrific as ever.
David and I will begin sailing our Pacific Seacraft Crealock 34 in the North Channel of Michigan next week for several weeks. Life is good, but I was so sorry to hear about Chris Clark. He was a pal since grade school.
Thanks for all of your efforts, Sandy.

I'm sorry that I missed the last reunion of a great group of people. My wife and I moved to Florida 2 years ago when I was offered the job of Chief Operating Officer for the Seminole Tribe of Florida, Inc. This exciting opportunity lasted for 9 months at which time a new and more exciting opportunity became available. My wife and I started a gaming supply business along with two other partners (one here in Florida and an attorney in Michigan). We currently supply all seven of the Indian casinos in Florida and most of the pari-mutuels. This is my fourth new start up company during my career-all of which have been challenging and exciting. To gain an edge in the gaming business we created a minority company in Michigan with Herman J. Moore, a retired NFL Detroit Lions football player, as its president. Herman is well known in Michigan and gives us a great competitive edge. The three non-Indian casinos in Michigan have gross gaming revenues in excess of $1.1 billion and are required to spend 30% of their expense dollars with minority companies. We just got our Gaming Suppliers License in Michigan (only 42 companies out of hundreds have this license and none of these are minority companies). We didn't stop at 2 companies. We have just created a third company specializing in surveillance. Our partner is the only authorized US Systems Integrator for Dallmeier-electronic, a German company that has 32% of the European market and looking for expansion into the US market. It seems that the concept of retirement has gotten lost somewhere. Would love to hear from any of you. Let me know when you visit southern Florida and lets get together.

I'm really looking forward to the reunion and have made my plane reservations. The only thing that could keep me away is a new granddaughter. Our daughter Barb and her husband Rick Bowers just returned a couple of hours ago from Russia where they're adopting an 8 months old baby. If that's the weekend that they return to the US from their second visit, wild horses couldn't keep this grandma away. Hopefully, I'll be able to do both and look forward to seeing y'all.

Hi to everyone. After more than 25 years working in public relations and fundraising for other people, I have started my own business -- in PR and fundraising, of course. Retirement? Don't think so, at least not any time soon. My children, John and Karen, live here in Grand Rapids and are single. I've kept busy for the past 34 years involved in a variety of community activities. Currently I am president of the opera company and am an elected official -- Library Commissioner (no other political plans, though). I am looking forward to seeing you all at the reunion.

Hi to all my class mates and apologies to those that had a grade lowered because of sitting next to me in class.
Retired 6 years ago from JCPenney and living in Akron. Enjoy crusing all ofer the world and when not crusing either in St. George Utah or here in Akron. Have gotten my golf handicap down to 10 and play about 90 rounds a year while Shirley either reads or goes to a spa or shopping, not sure what she does when I'm gone. No children, that I can claim, and staying out of jail, so far. Weigh 25 lbs, more than when I graduated and lost 1/2 inch in height but still on the right side of the grass. Looking forward to seeing you all at the reunion.

My Wife De and I finally sold our sailboat after cruising the east coast and Bahamas for 5 years. De had a recurrence of breast cancer, so we bought a little house in Annapolis last year. I have spent the last year remodeling. I also work part time for the local Catalina sailboat dealer, and do remodeling, carpentry, and cabinetmaking for varous friends. We probably won't attend the reunion this time. That weekend we will attend a shower for my oldest daughter who is having her first baby. She is a family practice doctor in New Jersey. My son has 18 mo. old twins in Chicago. My wife De has a maried daughter in Pittsburgh and an artist daughter in Hollywood CA. Hope it's a great reunion party! Dave & De

Retired three years ago from our company business leaving Frank (class of 56)and two of our three sons Scott our oldest(43)and Dan our youngest(33)plus 29 employees to run it. I don't know how they can do that without me? After two years of relaxing and gaining tooo much weight I joined a gym to get fit. Now I'am fit and still over weight anyone want to arm wrestle? Just kidding. Our middle son Matt(42) lives in Valdosta, Ga. with three of our six grandchildren and his beautiful and very talented wife Kathy. Matt played professional football for the CFL for 14 years and now is a Sports Annoucer for TSN of Canada. Boy does he rack up the air miles. Dan the youngest just got married two weeks ago to the most wonderful and gorgeous Erin Hammon Dunigan from Seminole,Ok. She is a Drug Rep. and is doing very well. Scott is the President of our Company and has the other 3 of our six grandchildren which if I do say so are the mIost wonderful, gifted, intelligent and brilliant in the world. He married Annika Crawford from Sweden 22 years ago and we are very fortunate to have her as our daughter-in-law. Frank and I like to travel and are very active in Irish community in Dallas. We leave for Ireland in July taking our oldest grand-daughter Elin with us for her graduation present from highschool in 2004. I am looking forward to seeing all of you in August!

We're up here on Barters Island, Maine (near Boothbay Harbor) until the end of October, so if anyone is up this way, give a jingle and come on over (we do have a swing bridge -seen in "In the Bedroom"-with Sissy Spacek- to get cars over here).
Just returned from England visiting oldest son and wife, along with middle son who stopped in between cycling for 2 months in Germany and Holland and now cycling for another month in England and Wales as part of a post-Master's fellowship, returned to CT to see youngest son slaving away studying for his Certified Financial Analyst's exam . At least they're all hard at some kind of work. They'll come up here for last week of June.
Was reminiscing about high school with our kids-the "pot lucks", acting, and life in general- recently. Do wish I could see everyone and catch up on their lives.

Also hello to all,
While many of my peers are moving into retirement, I am rather overemployed but nonetheless quite satisfied. Home base is Cleveland Heights but I periodically globetrot in connection with meetings and seeing children. Our son works as a lawyer in the oil business in Kazakhstan, the Hague, and London; our daughter will leave for Turkey to refine her Turkish and start her dissertation in ethnomusicology. There's a grandson in the UK courtesy son and wife -- he goes to the park. I practice forensic psychology and teach and do research. For pure fun, my husband and I play violins in a small baroque ensemble.
See you soon...

Hi All! My husband Herb and I lived in Berea, OH for 28 years and then moved to TN 8 years ago to get away from all the cold, damp and snow! Our daughter Debby and her husband Dan, plus our two grandchildren Dillon and Devvyn, moved to CA about one year after that! We are enjoying the south very much, but the grandkids are too far away! Dillon will be 15 and Devvyn will be 12 in October. They sure do grow up fast as are we! We have Herb's mom, 94 years old, living with us which makes it hard to travel now. She is doing quite well for her age, but we don't feel comfortable leaving her alone for more than a day. Wish we could be with you at the reuinion, but perhaps we will make the next one! Herb is still flying his model sailplanes and I still enjoy fishing!
